A classic, and I think it may actually be from the 70s...
yup! 1975 on their album called "The Official Soundtrack"

I'M NOT IN LOVE
I'm not in love, so don't forget it
It's just a silly phase I'm going through
And just because I call you up
Don't get me wrong, don't think you've got it made
I'm not in love, no, no, it's because...
I like to see you, but then again
That doesn't mean you mean that much to me
So if I call you, don't make a fuss
Don't tell your friends about the two of us
I'm not in love, no, no, it's because...
Be quiet, big boys don't cry, big boys don't cry
Big boys don't cry, big boys don't cry
I keep your picture upon the wall
It hides a nasty stain that's lying there
So don't you ask me to give it back
I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me
I'm not in love, no, no, it's because...
Ooh you'll wait a long time for me,
Ooh you'll wait a long time
Ooh you'll wait a long time for me
Oooooh you'll wait a long time
I'm not in love, so don't forget it
It's just a silly phase I'm going through
And just because I call you up
Don't get me wrong, don't think you've got it made
Ooh I'm not in love, I'm not in love

10cc was British group, formed by Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. They'd initially recorded as a backing band for various studio recordings in the early '70s. Their U.S. breakthrough was the single "I'm Not in Love," a shortened version of a track that appeared on the 1975 LP "Original Soundtrack." The vocal overdubs are reported to number 256, and give the track a lushness that few other pop hits have ever achieved.

Their biggest success came with the dreamy denial "I'm Not In Love", their second #1 in the UK. Up to this point, the group had failed to achieve any chart success whatsoever in the United States, but "I'm Not In Love" finally provided them with their first trans-Atlantic hit, reaching #2 in the USA. It has since become a staple of "Hits and Memories" radio programming in many countries.

I still have the album. Some of the music is pretty weird, but I like it -- the whole album kind of tells a story, but it is pretty abstract with a touch of phychadelic-- along the lines of what other bands like king crimson were doing around that period of time.
