Ignore answers from backincharge and Jesse H - they are not relevant to a diesel-engined car.
Seems to me that you have a problem with the diesel injection pump - possibly its timing is out.
Take it to a diesel injection specialist.

It sounds like the O2 sensor is outl sometimes the check engine light will come on but have yours tested before damage happens. Or clean the butterfly in the intake (were the flexable air hose enters the engine) and use only throttle body cleaner and go by the directions.

i would suggest that your catalytic convertor has either collapsed or the lambda probe is up the spout. either could cause what you mentioned. as a car less than 3yrs old it should fall under the manufacturers warranty. If yours is a high miler you may be able to get some Goodwill from Ford to offset the cost of repair.

it could be something as simple as your air filter is choked or faulty inlet pipework obstructing the airflow will cause the engine to draw air through the crankcase breather system and the oil vapour with it. just a guess!

Ignoring the blue smoke thing, it would sound as if you have a restricted exhaust.
