For the last 5 months I have not had my period. February 8th-14th to be exact. I've had every pregnancy symptom in the book especially leaking nipples. I've been tested for everything includinghormone imbalance....nothing is wrong with me. I'm healthy except it would help if I lost the weight. aI had a sonogram on 7/29 and the doctors said she didn't see anything? I'm starting to think I'm crazy because I keep feeling these kick like movements in my stomach... (I know what they feel like because I've been pregnant before.) My point is I read online in obese women, sonograms are not reliale for obese women because the picture becomes distorted. Could I still be pregnant. She did my sonogram where my pelvis is but at 20 weeks doesn't the uterus move up into the abdominal cavity? Could she still get a picture from being down so low? I thought sonograms were done on the stomach when the woman is furthur along?

Also, a transvaginal sonogram was done too!

It very may well be a hysterical pregnancy, as someone else suggested.
However, there have been recent studies, showing that medical tests (X rays, cat scans, MRIs) do not always give accurate results in obese people. There is a good chance that this also applies to the sonogram. My advice, is to get a second opinion. If that comes up negative as well, I would say hysterical pregnancy, or that ovarian syndrome. Good luck.

Have you had your pituitary gland checked and also have they checked for cysts on your ovaries? Sometimes when you have had children and especially if you breast fed, or just sometimes because, you can still have fluid from the nipples. I would believe your doctor that you are not pregnant. Sonograms have come a long way and especially since they included a trans-vaginal.
Sometimes when women are obese and especially (sometimes not) if you get cysts on your ovaries (even the kind that come and go every month) periods will stop and it is easy to see that you think you are pregnant. When you are in fact not. When and if you decide to lose weight, you will most likely notice (unless you are in menopause) that your periods will return. The fluid from your breasts may stay, but probably less noticeable. Kicking movements can be gas.
Sometimes as women we are excited by the prospect of being pregnant. If it is your desire, talk openly with your doctor on how you should go about it. Good Luck!

I had no problem w/ sonograms, being a little overweight myself. I did take a pregnancy test. You should request a blood test or buy an E.P.T. test right away. You need to know.

I don't know about the sonogram, but a blood test should put your mind at ease. Also maybe a second opinion could be done.

If you have taken a pregnancy test then obese or not it should be pretty accurate especially if you had a blood test. Obesity can cause you to have irregular period too. Have you done a hpt or blood work yet?

Something is wrong with your doctor. If she or he cant tell then u need to get another doctor. An with you being obese that has nothing to do with it. Take an ept test and whatever that says then your pregnant and take it to your doctor smack the S H I T out of him or her and tell them you want another doctor. Then look them in the face and say "I PREGNANT BI"A"TCH" (lol)
