Ortiz is the DH, does he have to be, no. If he played 1B every day, he'd probably be slightly below average, very similar to Giambi, Thome, Ryan Howard (yes he has 12 errors this year). His career fielding % is .990. Not too bad.
The reason they don't play him there, why do they need to? I'm sure if they needed him to play everyday he'd be able to, but why mess with a good thing.
And yes, the HR last night was wicked good!

I didnt, the monkey is too fat and covered up the whole TV screen. I hate the Bosox and i hope Ortiz chokes on a chicken bone and dies!
