we have government grants to help you pay for college, and lots of people can go for free, or even get extra spending money to go to community colleges, you can learn all kinds of trades to make decent money, you can get into a job where you can learn a trade and work your way up... why do so many people want richer people who have earned it by going to college for years and years, and taking risks and making big decisions and having lots of repsonsibility to give away their money, i guess because they don't want to work hard for it.This is america, if you lived in some 3rd world country, i can see why you'd complain, but we really don't have anything to complain about in america, even with high medical costs and high(not comapared to europe) gas prices...overall, i know there are some people who, through no fault of their own are poor, i'm not talking about them, i'm talking about the majority of americans who complain about how evil rich people are, and how poor they are.

Consider yourself lucky, there are a lot of things that can get in the way of a good job. Health being a big issue. Some if not all poor people would much rather be working a decent job, but circumstance do not allow this. Bad decisions do occur but that is not always the case.

America has an education crisis, less than 65% of US citizens are able to get Into a college, it's not the majority of teachers at fault, it's a curriculum deficit,, the Bush team have no interest in average Americans,, and certainly not the poor, there too busy making money from wars, to line their own pockets,, most of the wealthy send their children to private schools, that teach them what they think they should learn,,

Rich and poor are relative terms. Wage slaves complain about being poorer than company owners because it is the wage slaves doing the work, while it is the company owners who decide who gets how much money in the company. The lack of capital to start their own major corporations is not the wage slaves' fault. A very small percentage of the population own most of the capital in a capitalist system. They call the shots and determine who is rewarded (and they usually decide to reward themselves, of course).

If companies were run democratically, by their employees, then you can expect to see a much better distribution of the rewards to those who are actually doing the work.

Need help with that heavy chip you're carrying?

Where do you get that percentage, 98%? Are you a sociologist doing some serious research? I think not, you seem to be griping at the wind.

Since you can spare some change, go buy yourself a book or two by Peter Drucker and see what he has to say about CEOs' salaries compared to workers' salaries, hm?

i doubt 98% of people are poor because through fault of their own. yes there are lazy people but it's hard to work your way out of poverty. people expect less of you, you're less likely to have a good education, you often have to work rather than go to uni, there is stigma attached to where you're from or your accent. some people have to work 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet, hardly sounds like laziness to me

Um, didn't qualify for any grants and owe student loans in an amount comporable to what most people bought their house for. Working 2 jobs to pay them off.

Your daddy must have paid for your school. Must be nice. Or better yet, Grandma and Grandpa left you a fatty trust fund.

QUIT LYING IT IS NOT!!

Look, I don't even want to re-type my particular story, but since it did get me a Best Answer, I figured it might be illustrative here.

In the meantime, stop being such a bigot and shut your hole, you have NO CLUE what you are talking about.

Check the damn links fool. (Oh, and I am online courtesy of a donated computer, don't ask....)
