technically its the first real fertility drug.. its suppose to help you ovulate when you have ovulatory disfunction.. do a google search for Clomid, you will learn a lot.. However you should ask your doctor or pharmacist about the period issue.. If your taking clomid for infertility, then you should get this question answered by a professional

Clomid is generally the first drug rxed for infertility. I was able to get pg with my son on Clomid and I am now taking it again.
It tricks your body into thinking it has less estrogen than it actually does and stimulates your body to ovulate.
The rate of multiples is very low with Clomid - twins in 5% of users who become pregnant and less than 1% for triplets.

I used Clomid and it did nothing for me. If your periods stop, maybe your pregnant.
