My daughter is going into 7th grade and I got her some leggings. I want to be sure what I am getting her is the "in" look. She has black, white and gray leggings and has a camo skort and a jean skirt. What types of tops go with this, do they need to be long, and how else can she wear them?

As for tops, they go with whatever she would normally wear with those skirts. And although most people wear leggings with jean mini skirts, that's actually the most out-done and "blekh" look. Have her try it with a cute dress or a more flowy skirt.

Well, first you need the right leggings. I just got my 7-yr-old daughter some really cute ones. The kind that's really hot and trendy right now are not the kind that were popular in the 80's. The ones you want are thin, slightly transparent, and capri-length. You can wear them under a long top, but in my experience, very few long tops are long enough to make sure nothing is showing, especially with the white leggings. When you see famous people photographed wearing this look, they are normally wearing what looks like a long top, but they are usually wearing a short dress. If you have a dress left over from last year or the year before that still fits on top, but is too short now, put some leggings under them. A skirt or skort that is too short works well, too. This legging trend has really saved me money, because since we got the leggings, I have been digging my daughter's old dresses and skirts out of the closet and getting extra use out of them. to go with the jean skirt and gray/Black leggings get a beaded gray tank top from like hollister or abercrombie.And They have cute tops that go with that.Umm..With a camo skirt I wouldnt wear leggings becasue its too much color.Add like a black tank/top.And for the in look go to abercrombie,Hollister,American Eagle.

Wear a natural color or jean mini skirt. For the top, wear no-sleeve top and cover it up with a short sleeve cardigan.

maybe a really sexy top... yes this is "in" i c people wear this all the time. I have a pair of leggings myself..
