your vagina won't be stretched out forever . . everything will heal just fine . . as with any pregnancy, sex may feel slightly different whether you have had a natural or c-section . . you are better off going natural (you will heal quicker) . . leave the c-section for emergency purposes only
you can help yourself now by doing kegal exercises daily to strengthen your vaginal muscles ... this will help in delivery and help in healing . . pull your muscles in like you are desperately trying to keep from peeing and hold for 5 seconds, let go and repeat . . . do this in sets of whatever you feel comfortable thruout the day . . . good luck

Vaginal birth is a lot better then a c section. C's take a lot longer to heal and they are cutting into muscle which will never be the same again. Vaginal birth is what woman have been doing since the beginning. Your vagina is a muscle and will return back to shape in time. I had a 7lb 9oz baby without tearing. I am completely back to normal in fact sometimes it hurts to have sex much like when I was a teenager.

My first child was a vaginal birth with an episiotomy and fourth degree tear with tons of stitches. I can't exactly remember how long it took (11 years ago), but everything went back to normal. 7 months ago I had a c-section. Now, honestly, the delivery part is way easier with a c-section (no labor, pain, etc.), but the recovery is way harder with a section. If you do not need a c-section, don't get one-it is major surgery and can have bad results like any other operation. Your body will return to normal if you have a vaginal birth, but it will take some time-good luck!

The only way you will get a C section unless the baby is breeched or it is medical concern and your doctor states this...otherwise you will have a vaginal delivery.
It does take a while for things to go back to normal but it won't be like what it was before you had the baby which is a part of life. You have to accept changes.

Things don't feel exactly the same after a vaginal birth. Before I had my first child a midwife told me to tap my finger on my nose, then on my chin. Feel the difference? I don't think it is quite that stark but maybe for some it is.
An option for after you are finished having children is LVR (laser vaginal rejuvenation), this can assist with any issue that may occur.
Good Luck!

Don't let these women scare you! A vagina is a muscle and it will not stay stretched forever. Do Kegels and as soon as you can, get it on and remind that vagina what else it does. I masterbated externally with a vibrator a week after delivery and I swear I healed faster because I got the blood flow moving and my stomach shrank from the orgasms.

C-section has a long recovery period and you are left w/ a scar. Very scary if you ask me. I went natural and was right back to normal. The skin is very elastic and during childbirth, stretches for only a few minutes so no major harm done. Worse is your stomach skin and muscles. Sometimes never goes back to normal.

Are you kidding....go natural no matter what, unless you cant. Why would you want to be cut open by choice? I really dont get C-sections.
I've heard that it does go back, but after a little while....sorry so general, I dont have one
