Try changing channels on the phone system is there is any type of option to do so, check the manual. Also try changing channels on the wireless router, select from channels 1, 6 and 11, trial and error. See if any of these improve when on the phone. Try placing your wireless router in a different spot, away from the phone base station and/or handsets. Worst case, trade in your 2.4GHz cordless phone system for a 5.8GHz system.

Get a 5.8 GHZ phone. There's no reliable way to stop that interference. You can try changing the channels on the router and PC's NIC but that doesn't work very well most of the time. Most phones switch channels every time you use them and will interfere with the wireless network again the next time you use it.

Unless you can permanently change the phone frequency all you can do is improve the wireless router signal strength to your PC.
You could buy "signal boosting" antennas or just move the antennas and see if that helps. Or move the router closer to the PC.
The wireless signal is spread-spectrum and the phone is just clobbering too large a portion and the data rate goes way down - my guess it is not low enough to drop the connection.

You can try to set the phone and router at least 15 ft away from each or you can get a new phone that doesn't operate on the same frequency as your router(2.4Ghz). Look for 5.8Ghz or 900Mhz phones.

Is that because your ISP is through your telephone? I have the same problem but I have my internet service through the phone company. If I use the phone, my wireless internet will not work for a few minutes.
