There was a "sequel" called Raise the Titanic released in 1980 about a crew finding the ship and raising it to recover a treasure inside and a possible weaponised mineral too...

It already did. It was called "Raise the Titanic", came out in 1980, starred Jason Robards, Richard Jordan, Anne Archer, and Alec Guinness. It was beyond dreadful and made about $40 at the box office.

I don't see how a Titanic sequel can be made: the ship sank and thousands of lives were carelessely lost; the ship rests miles down on the ocean floor, soon to dissolve into orange metallic rust.

Titanic was a tragic lesson on what happens when we blind ourselves to inherit dangers and place labels on socio-classes of people.

There's a sequel? What, did they all become mermaids and swim around shrieking like Celine Dion???

Last Friday, didn't you hear?

It was called "Jack's Revenge"- he comes back and hunts down the redheaded chick. He's all pissed off because she promised she wouldn't let go, then she dropped him into the water.

It didn't. The boat sank, there's no sequel to that.
