You will definitely need blush in order to avoid looking palid. A peachy-pink would be pretty.
For eyes, I would go with a lightly applied dose of eyeliner in deep green, plum, or navy. Winging it out slightly at the outer corners really defines eyes. Lids can handle shimmery bronze, light pink, sandy brown. Mascara should be deep brown.
For lips, try a sheer pinkish-brown and various berry tones.
Avoid anything with yellow undertones. Have fun!

If your skin is pale and cool-toned then you need to go with cool shades of eye shadow. If you use brown, make sure it's a rose or mauve brown, not an earthy, yellowish or orange one.
You might try just a black eye liner and mascara, and skip the shadow for now.
As for lipstick, because you are pale with black hair, your lipstick is going to need to have some depth of color to it in order not too look washed out. You can go more dramatic and it will still look more natural on you.
Aveeda has a line of cosmetics and people to help you that I think would be worth your while trying. I think the first time you start getting into make-up it's worth having some help at a high end cosmetics counter. You can get cheaper make-up later once you've learned your colors.

Try a little swipe of pinkish red lip gloss, and some black mascara. A little charcoal gray liner around the eyes for a smoky look will make your eyes stand out. Make sure to blend well. If your skin is clear, better to go natural, or just put a little concealer(and I mean very little, less is more) under your eyes if you need it. Don't wear too much foundation. It sounds like you don't need it. Your coloring sounds beautiful, so just make your makeup look barely there. Guys really like a girl w/natural beauty, who's face they can actually see. And when in doubt, take more off rather than adding more. You'll look prettier that way.

I think the best way to work out makeup looks is to find celebs that have your exact coloring and copy them- penelope cruz has pale skin, black hair and brown eyes- if you go to google images and do a search for penelope cruz you will see dozens of photos

The coloring of yourself that your describing means that you can wear virtually any color eyeshdows you want. mix it up a little with different shades each day. You can also add a little blush on the apples of your cheeks or even bronzer to lighten up you face. also mascara and eyeliner are great but make sure it's natural ooking. Try smudging in the eyeliner on your top lid after appying to create a smokey effect

I'd stick with earthy tones... Pinks would look good too. Your local cosmetology department could help you with the brands... There's way to many to choose from. Good Luck!
