If you really like a woman who was overweight would you let that stop you from asking her out on a date? Why or why not?

I wouldn't let a weight issue govern my choice of companion for a date or anything else. Who makes these rules for themselves about people they don't even know, it would seem to me that one could be missing out on a potentially great time. Why? I don't see the sense in allowing others to judge me or anyone I'm with by some fictitious standards set forth in glamour magazines, I'll do as I please with whom ever I choose to share time with and consider myself blessed if the Lady graces me with Her company.

How overweight? There's a line. I've gone out with an overwieght woman before. She was beautiful in the face and eyes and she was very subtle, she kind of sparkled abit. However in the long haul, her weight did bother me, as I can be fairly neurotic about some things and I could only see her 20 years from now, really fat and no sparkle. No thanks

Guys can fall in love with fat chicks HOWEVER, a guy will always look at looks first and a fat chick doesn't stand much chance of getting enough time alone with most guys(except fat guys or butt ugly ones)to get the guy to fall for her. So yea, it stops MOST guys from asking her out.

I am married to a "fat" chick as you put it. We played a little cat and mouse, first she was after me and I wasn't sure because of the age difference. Then I changed my mind but her ex boyfriend or whatever came back around, so I had to wait awhile but eventually we got together. That was 5 and a half years ago, we have been married for almost a year. By nature I like chubby girls though.

I wouldn't care if she's just chubby, but I wouldn't want to date a morbidly obese woman. Looks aside, they are morbidly obese for a reason (either health or psychological), and I don't think I would want that reason in someone I dated. Besides, given their substantially shorter lifespans, you'd just be setting yourself up for heartbreak if you actually decided to marry one.

In any event, this is a moot question for me; I'm already married. The wifey was skinny as a toothpick when we first met, now she's about average build for a woman her age. Personally, I'm glad she's put a little meat onto those bones. :-)

Not a guy - but I know that stops some of them because they care more about sex than the person. Their loss! I would make a loyal, loving, wonderful partner, but they can't see past the few extra pounds. (I've been about the same weight for the past 5+ years.)

And you guys might be surprised about the sex that heavier women can offer but won't bother to go into detail because that shouldn't be the most important thing. (My ex thought it was great - broke up for other reasons.)

I wouldn't let it stop me. If I liked her I wouldn't see the weight. I know an overweight girl that's beautiful. Her face is stunning, and her personality great.

For those of you who would never date a plus-sized woman, I guess you will never know what you are missing out on. Too bad for you!

For Phil S.:
Obviously you don't know this first-hand, but a bigger girl can hold her own in the bedroom as well. You don't necessarily have to be skinny to know how to please a man!

wow, alot of reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaalllly shallow guys here. very pathetic if you ask me. if you like the girl then go for it. if your gonna let a few extra pounds get in the way of what could potentially be love then you have no reason to exist.

If she had a good personality. I known that sounds like a line but it is true. There is a lot more to life and relationships than looks.
