It is a common misconception that piggy went to Piggly Wiggly. You see, children today think that piggy went to WalMart. In fact, he went to Woolworth because in the beginning days of this saying there were no WalMarts. Hope this helps.

No one says cuz no one knows. But be serious...pigs do not go to the market. If they did they would be killed by the owner and sold as pork chops and bacon so they are better off staying as far away from the market as possible...
