I might go to California some day, and i was wondering where would be the best place to stay at. I want to go during the summer so i can swim in the ocean. I don't really need to know about a hotel, unless you know of a great resort right off hand, but i'm talking about places in general. Kinda like if i asked about south carolina and you would tell me myrtle beach, or something like that. get it?

California has great beaches, all kinds of beaches too. In Northern CA., it's cooler and foggier than say Central and Southern CA.(even in the summer), so keep that in mind.

Half Moon Bay is a nice place, which is just south of S.F. Then there is Santa Cruz, a little more hang loose atmosphere, younger crowd. Pismo Beach on the Central Coast is nice too, long, clean sand, pretty scenery. Santa Barbara and San Diego are great towns, nice beaches and scenery.

No place in the world like the beaches of Southern California, specifically my hometown of Orange County. When it comes to scantily clad beach bunnies, we're tops. We're not very good about tourists though, and you are very easy to spot.

Oh sorry, ur a girl.
