I DO remember him stating something omniously similar to this when we went into Iraq, and later calling it a mistake . Do you think that if we DO go after Hezbollah that John Kerry will change his mind again (and then blame it on George Bush)????? I support Israel 100%, but will John Kerry when the rest of the liberals inevitably turn tail and run?

I believe you that he's saying that, but I have no respect for the man. First he was for the war then he was against it and now he's for getting involved in another war? I wouldn't take anything he says seriously because he'll change his mind tommorow.

Hezbollah has been an acknowledged terrorist organization for over a decade. So, it's no real surprise that anyone is supporting the fight against Hezbollah.

As far as Iraq, there's a difference between committing troops for a few months to depose Saddam and committing troops for an indefinite number of years to do imperial nation building and to take sides in a civil war that won't be resolved for decades.

Liberals generally believe in fighting when necessary. Stopping Hezbollah is necessary. Deposing Saddam might have been necessary. But it's not necessary to cost the lives of thousands of our soldiers to force a country to form a new government that most of them don't want. Nor is it turning tail and running to admit that we've long overstayed our welcome in Iraq.

The French talk a good game. When the rounds "go down range" he'll wet his pants and surrender so he can live to cower in fear another day.
