The belt is serpentine look under the hood for the belt routing diagram some cars have it. If its not there try finding a repair manuel at a local parts store and look in the cooling section. If the car has the diagram you will need to spring back the idler tensioner pulley and place the last part of the belt under the idler pulley or around the alternator pulley wichever one is the smallest is the easiest way. you have to put the belt in the components that it came of from and then pull the alternator back till its tight and then tighten the bolt
