The only things definite in this world are illness and death. Thus, even the powerful leaders have to pass these two stages in life.

Hey, It's only temporaray until he gets out of the surgey and recovers. This isn't a new regeime coming to power in Cuba. Castro will be back to dictating in a couple of days, if not hours. Raul Castro isn't going to do anything spectacular. Tehn again, I wonder what Ariel Sharon would say if he woke up from the coma today and saw what's going on in the mideast

No, it is not awesome for anyone to suffer. Suffering always leads to more suffering - not less. If everyone were free of suffering themselves they would not feel compelled to make others suffer. As far as Castro is concerned specifically - his brother may be as bad or worse than he has been so don't go jumping for joy yet.

Well, wishing illness on someone is not awesome... in the grand scheme of things, I would prefer to hear Saddam instead of Fidel. Perhaps now might be a good opportunity to change our views on how we treat nations so close to our homeland borders and make peace with Cuba..... it would be good for them and with all of the turmoil in the Middle East, it would be nice to know that Cuba would support us and not aid terrorists. Just a thought.

He's probably already dead, or will be in a few days. This time I think another revolution will come.

I haven't heard about it, but I don't think Cuba will be any different under his brother's rule.
