I would reccomend going to the doctor to have it removed, however you simply asked for "besides going to the doctor". Now I have never tried this, and I dont know if it actually works or not but I guess it is worth a try!.

Acids. Some over- the- counter and prescription products contain acids that destroy the nevi tissue. This procedure is lengthy (up to six weeks) and is non-selective, meaning that it destroys all tissue it comes into contact with. This has the highest potential for scarring.

if the mole is tiny you might be able to freeze burn it off. Otherwise, a doctor must remove it with a knife! the reason why is that moles are actually huge under the skin. its sort of like an iceberg. you have to dig to get all of it out.
