reserve a period of time every day, 20 minutes or so, to return phone calls. Don't return phone falls any other time. Develop a pattern: read your e-mail first thing in the morning, or whenever works best for you.

If you deal with snail mail, the trick is to not handle each piece a dozen times. Toss trash unmercifully. Figure out what you are going to do with the rest, and do it.

Prioritize your time; so you spend you time doing important things. Note: Not everything that is urgent is important.

If you do meetings, keep a planner and take it everywhere you go. Put all appointments in it, if you write them on a scrap of paper, you will miss one.

Good luck!

Doing thigns like tetris, like pacing yourself in an A to z way, similar to when you are cleaning a mirror, going up and down on the whole mirror insted of just cleaing the dirty spots, if you turn yourself into a robot you basically can sustain focus and energy because being steady is better than bursts of accomplishment and failure.
