I just got a new phone from alltel. I heard that I could use it for a verizon wireless plan. Is that so? use alltel phone for verizon?

I think the best way is to just call Verizon Wireless customer service. Because you never know what's gonna happen. Make sure you get the right answer before you do anything to your phone.

Yes, but you will have to have it unlocked. Many independant and indirect sales stores carry the software to do this. The price can range anywhere from 15- 30 dollars though.
