I HAVEN'T EVER HEARD OF THIS ONE.
BUT I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD THESE (AMONG MANY MORE I WON'T GO INTO NOW).
IF YOU TOUCH A DEAD PERSON IN THE CASKET, YOU WILL NOT HAVE BAD DREAMS ABOUT OR BE HAUNTED BY THEM.
IF A BIRD GETS INTO YOUR HOME, THERE WILL SOON BE A DEATH WITHIN YOUR FAMILY.
FUNERALS ALWAYS COME IN 3's. START NOTICING WHEN YOU HAVE TO GO TO ONE... YOU WILL SHORTLY ATTEND ANOTHER AND THEN A THIRD.
I HAVE SEEN THIS LAST ONE TO BE TRUE MANY TIMES!
ALSO, IF YOU HEAR A SCREECH OWL AT NIGHT, IT SIGNIFYS A DEATH IN YOUR FAMILY. YOU CAN STOP IT BY TYING A KNOT IN EACH OF THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE SHEET ON THE BED YOU ARE SLEEPING ON.
ANOTHER, NEVER DISTURB A BIRD'S NEST, IT WILL BRING DEATH IN YOUR FAMILY.
I PERSONALLY DON'T GO TO FUNERALS UNLESS (GOD FORBID) IT BE A CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER. I BELIEVE THAT WHEN WE GO TO FUNERALS THAT WE PICK UP SOME OF THAT ENERGY NO MATTER HOW HARD WE MAY TRY NOT TOO. I HATE NOT TO GO AND PAY MY RESPECTS, AND I WOULD WANT PEOPLE TO COME TO MY OWN FUNERAL, BUT THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL ISSUE WITH MY OWN SELF.
HERE'S ANOTHER, BUT NOT ABOUT DEATH: IF YOU BREAK A MIRROR YOU WILL HAVE 7 YEARS OF BAD LUCK. (NOT SO) SPIRITS GET TRAPPED IN MIRRORS, WHEN WE BREAK THEM, WE LOOSE THE SPIRITS WHETHER GOOD OR BAD AND THEY ARE MOSTLY BAD, CAUSE THE GOOD ONES MOVE ON TO THE LIGHT!
IF A PERSON REALLY BELIEVES A THING STRONG ENOUGH IT WILL HAPPEN. BUT THERE ARE SOME TRUTHS TO SOME OF THE OLD WIVES-TALES. SOME GOOD, SOME NOT GOOD.

I've never heard that b4, but every time I see a funeral procession go by, I cry. And ofcourse I don't even know who it is! I've always heard you're supposed to hold your breath when you pass a cemetary or else it's bad luck. Ofcourse, I never did & now I also wonder the same thing as you! Hmmmm....

I never thought to do this.
But some gravedigger at my grandfather's funeral also told me never to look down into the grave while the coffin is being lowered, else one would end up there in a year. I was 16, now I'm twenty-one.
What a load of mess.

Yes, I have heard that. My mom aways told me to never look back on a funeral procession.... like just stare straight if it's coming the opposite way down the road, and don't look over your shoulder. I guess because death is shrouded in mystery, many such superstitions arose.

It is just an old superstition. When I was young, my mother would not even cross paths with a black cat. Some people believe in these... some don't. I believe in some superstitions. I don't like anything that has three sixes together. If I buy anything that comes up to that exact amount I will buy something else or put something back.

No, you should count it because it shows how much the person was beloved by how many cars are in line.

That's an old wives tale. I have counted them before. If you really think you have bad luck...you would be dead and in one. Now that's bad luck!!!
