There are several varieties of birth control pills out there, and I don't know which you are getting ready to take. The booklet little booklet that comes with the pills should tell you when it is best to start taking the pills. The manufacture, should also have a website that may give you more information, and sometimes a help line number is given on the website. The majority of birth control pills you start the day after your period, but if you are taking the pills to regulate your cycle, I'm guessing here, you would start taking them now so you will get a period when you finish the pack.

Regular birth control pills would normally start on the Sunday or Tuesday after you get your period. But if you are not using this kind of pill or you do not get your period and are using the pills to help this, you need to talk to the doctor to get correct instructions.

If you have not been having any periods then I would start now, but if you do have an occasional period you are supposed to start the day after you get off.

usually you start within 24 hrs of your period, or you start the sunday after your period...your doctor should have explained when to take them. Also they come with a pamphlet read it, and it will explain everything to you.

WHEN YOU ARE DONE HAVING YOUR PERIOD THAT IS THE DAY THAT YOU START TAKE THEM COMPLETELY AND WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF DOWN TO THE LAST SET OF COLORS THAT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'LL GET YOUR PERIOD. YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION WITH YOUR DOCTOR. DON'T BE SCARED OF YOUR DOCTOR THEY ARE THERE TO HELP YOU.

What did the doctor tell you???
Call his office and speak with the nurse to get the instructions over again...don't be ashamed that you weren't listening the first time....
