Does anybody think that a cease fire would come about if we threaten to stop funding Isreal?

May be Iran would possibly consider not funding Hezbollah. You can't just tell some to do something unless you plan on doing it yourself.

The U.S. should stop all foreign aid and stop selling weapons to Israel. Israel's conduct is appauling. The Arab world know the U.S. gave or sold nearly all of the weapons to Israel that they are using to destroy Lebanon. We would have much more credibility and likeability in the world if we did this - not to mention we could use that money to deal with our own problems rather than creating more in the Middle East.

The U.S. gives $14 million dollars a day to Israel. Look it up.

It would certainly make Israel think a bit harder about its actions, but I don't think it would have any effect on Iran. Don't forget the Iranian leader is a borderline mental case.

Admittedly though, the 15 million dollars in funding Israel is given EVERY DAY by America is a ridiculous sum. A better solution would be to, say, halve the funding Israel receives and channel it into building a stable infrastructure in Palestine. Of course that's not going to happen now as all your tax dollars for the next couple of years are going to be spent on rebuilding Lebanon.......

And to all those who think that the US isn't pouring money into Israel- I suggest you look at a breakdown of where your tax dollars are going. You're in for a shock. Even if they buy American weapons with it it still amounts to you giving them the weapons for free. And you moan about the price of petrol- unbelievable!

Just stop supplying them w. weapons for a start. You have enough space to easily give them a small state after-wards. It would be interesting to see how they would get on w. their new neighbors w. their belief that they are the chosen ones and everyone else is going to hell in a hurry.

We don't want a cease fire until Hezbolla has been neutralized. That would be senseless as it would prolong the warring for years, and decades and many more lives would be lost.

America is NOT funding Israel. America does not even GIVE Israel weapons. Israel BUYS them from America. Furthermore, if someone trespassed onto your property, stole your children from the yard and shot up your house and yard, would you give up trying to get your kids back? I think not.
