It is a very large snake that lives in the water. Do a web search and you should come up with tons of info.

If you are considering buying one as a pet.....DON'T. These guys can get nearly 30 feet long, need a very specialized habitat, and are large enough to kill humans. They also tend to be very aggressive and unpredictable. If you want a python as a pet, try a ball python.

what about it? They are of the genus Eunectes, and are sometimes considered a type of boa. There are 4 species, the most well known of which are the yellow (which get around 10 feet) and green (around 10-25 feet). Females get larger, and they are VERY thick, heavy bodied snakes, so in terms of weight a female green is the largest snake in the world. They love water and stay in it most of the time if given the chance... They're really interesting animals, I have a friend who has a couple yellows and actually has a young female green. One thing for certain, never trust anything in the anaconda movies! lol... For more info check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunectes

they kill their prey by strangulation, and are one of the largest species of snake, if not the largest in the world! They swallow their prey whole, and have been know to eat an entire crocodile in one feeding!
