It is unusual for a baby that young to have fewer than 2 dirty diapers in 24 hours. See sources section below. After 6 weeks old, many babies do have only one bowel movement a day, or even one every few days to 2 weeks (or longer). Very occasionally, a baby does have the infrequent bowel movements before 6 weeks old. As long as it is large to huge (enough to make up for all the missing bowel movements), it is not a problem. Again, read the FAQ below for details.

it's quite normal, because she is so young her body is still getting used to the bowel movements and breaking down the food.
dont worry too much if she doesnt go one day but the next day if she still hasnt try 20mls water in a bottle between feeds and rub her belly small circular motions in clock wise direction. thats the direction of the bowel movements that will help her poo.
my son had trouble and sometimes would not go for 2 days my doctor said its usually fine unless he/she goes with for 3 or 4 days.i found rubbing his belly and giving a bit of water helped alot.

This is perfectly normal. Especially if she is being breastfed, it is not uncommon for infants to efficiently utilize everything they intake. My youngest daughter was exactly like this, she was breastfed exclusively until 6 months old and would only poop every couple of days. Even now, at 9 years old, she can go 1-3 days and that is perfectly normal for her. Continue feeding your baby on demand, her body will regulate itself, there is nothing you need to do. Call her doctor if she develops stomach pain or is in obvious distress.

Usually babies will have 4-6 dirty diapers and at least 8 wet ones until after 6 weeks. I would be concerned about this. Check with your pediatrician. If she is breastfed, she might not be latching on. See a latation consultant or LaLeche group to check the latch. You will want to get her weight checked to to make sure she is gaining enough.
If she is formula fed, DEFINITELY check with your doc to make sure the formula isn't the problem.

that is totally normal. Sometimes babies will go 2-3 days without a poop. Nothing to worry about unless she seems to be in discomfort or it goes longer than 4 days or so.

Don't worry about it. I was told that when my youngest didn't go for several days - that her body was using every last bit of the nutrition she was getting. She will let you know what she needs. Relax. When in doubt - ask her doctor questions. That is what they are there for. They realize new moms and dads are very nervous about this little life and they are very patient.

Totally normal! If she is breastfed, remember that it is very, very unlikely that she will get constipation.
