You could get him a handycam, digital camera, ipod, good home theatre, annual subscription of a good magazine depending on his taste, membership to a good sports club,gift vouchers to purchase books, clothing etc or simply deposit some money in his bank account .

i think he might be too old for a scooter, unless he's into it... I know i wouldn;t want it... hmm does he have a cell phone? If not would you be willing to do that.. if you have one.. hopefully you have a family plan and add it on for 10 bucks or so.. that's what my sis did for me. Or maybe an Ipod.. Good Luck

i think that a new eletronic game would be good if ur the type of parent that alows that kind of thing.a x-box or if ur real nice a car and if not that then just some money would be good. no gift cards . cash is better beacuse a gift card you can only use in 1 store

Money, or a new car, a date with a beautiful girl, limo ride, movie tickets, video game, keg!(haha, jk).. hmm.. thats all I can think of for now. I know if I were 16 again, I would like a night out with my friends w/o parents and enough money to get thru it successfully. Good luck with it, im sure he will like whatever you get him!

I would provide him with $800 and help him build a computer out of parts you can buy at places like www.newegg.com. he gets a decent computer for $800, and the ability to say that he built it himself.

My brother is 17 and for his 16th birthday we were gonna get him a car but we thought about it and to stop the stress we gave him cash!!!

a 16 year old wouldnt want a scooter for their birthday. i would love a car for my next birthday but seeing that my mom prolly cant afford it idk want im getting but they would prolly like their own personal computer. or an ipod if they dont already have one.
