"Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" is the movie. I don't know the actors/actresses.
It was set in the Depression, and told as a true story. The girl worked for a travelling circus, who's main attraction was a girl jumping on a galloping horse and diving off of a platform while riding it.
Thanks to a freak accident, the girl became blind. She continued diving for 11 years anyway, "and the audience never knew". She married the son of the circus owner/operator, who died of a heart attack one hot afternoon.
Does this sound familiar?

Wild hearts can't be broken. She lost her sight but still performed at the Atlantic City Steel Pier. This was based on a true story.
