this isn't true, since burning is the appropriate way to dispose of a flag that has become worn and irrepairable.

If they are then it is crap. That law in the first place is crap. I don´t agree with burning the flag but I don´t think it should be illegal. What happened to pursuit of happiness? If it really makes people happy to burn the flag then why not let them do it?
