While you may find a ballpark figure from other sources or owners, they're going to vary at least a little bit, especially considering how they drive, fast or slow. The best thing to do, is figure it yourself. You can at least figure your average. Or if you drive street all the time you can figure that. Or if you drive mostly highway you can figure that. But if you do both, like I said, you can at least figure your average for both.

At one of the times you fill up, write down your mileage. Then the next time you fill up, write down your mileage again, but also write down the gallons you've used since your last fill-up. Subtract the last one from the previous one to find out your mileage from the first fillup to the second. Then divide the mileage by the gallons.

For instance, if you've travelled 300 miles, and it took you 10 gallons, then you got 30 miles per gallon.

This one is easy to figure out, you can do it your self. First find out how many Gallons of gas the fuel tank holds. Next go fill the tank completely then record the milage at fill up. Drive the car untill it is empty or close to it then record the mileage again. Subtract the ending mileage from the starting mileage. Take that answer and divide it by how many gallons the tank holds. That should give you average mpg between fill ups, and it should tell you how well the car is actually running.

I have a 2001 Impala...if I drive mostly highway I get about 340 miles on a tank of gas. City driving I get about 230-260 miles on a tank of gas.
