I know that most of you weren't born yet, but for those of us who saw it at the beginning, it's been a long time.

If they're not even acknowledging their silver anniversary (which is a critical time at weddings), something is definitely wrong.

Why they felt the need to replace spectacular and innovative music videos with annoying "reality TV" shows is way beyond my comprehension. Those videos were what made MTV what it was. So new videos are coming out. So what? That's part of the deal, folks.

This moment says it all (see the link below):

#6: MTV refused to follow its aging first fans, courting teens instead. It also realized that airing videos was a dead end and began aggressively developing other programming. Those were probably the most important financial decisions MTV ever made.

Based on the reaction of the generation it wanted to court next, I'd say the idea sucked. CHUNKS.

Yes it does.. but what is sad.. How do they still call it MTV when they hardly ever play music? Headbangers ball rocked and the fact that you could turn it on at anytime and hear music... I miss those days... boo hoo!!
