I bought something called "Snake Away", it is used by the army and was proven efficient in Desert Storm to keep snakes out of sleeping bags and outside of camp. You can buy it on line. It comes in powdered/granular form.

You must mean repellant, okay you might try powererd lyme not the fruit drink or juice. This is stuff you can purchase at any gardening place.
Or if you have a Lowe's or Home Depot they sell a product called "Snake Away" it's suppose to work.

A good snake repellent? My husbands Siamese cat! She brings them home constantly, I rescue them figuring they do more good than bad. (I live in the north east) I guess she is only a repellent if you are my neighbor! :)

I've heard mothballs spread in the area work, but you have to replenish them if it rains.
Also, some home and garden or farm stores sell liquid or granule repellent you can spread in your yard.
