Why do a lot of Troy Aikman autographs look like they have a "t" in the middle of the second word/last name?

Is the second word he signs "aikman"? Is that "t" actually a "k"? It looks a lot like a "t"

I got Troy's autograph a couple of times and the "t" you are talking about is actually the way he crosses the first A in Aikman. He swoops it across and it makes it look like a t in the middle of his last name.
