i am kinda irrated down below on the lower part of my vaginia and i started my period like 2 weeks early. i am useing a cream that my sis got from her gyno for irratiation but can i use tampons cuz pads irrirate me too. im just scared a tampon will make it worse.:-s

ive never been a gyno and its not really bad anymore. my sis's meds. r helping me but im jsut scared since my period came 2 weeks early it will get worse

If you have had an irritation due to the use of pads before, it could be an allergic reaction to something. I would start off by being sure to wear cotton underwear, rather than anything lacy or any material that may cause you to sweat more, and when you get home and aren't going to be around anyone, and even when you sleep, i would suggest doing so not wearing underwear. There are a lot of things that could be going on, just be sure to try to stay dry (ie. don't keep a wet bathing suit on), don't use your sisters medication, check out the local family planning doctors in your area if you are afraid to talk to a parent or relative about it. It could be a yeast infection (have you been on any antibiotics), bacterial vaginitis (usually caused by an alteration in your pH that results in bacterial overgrowth or caused by incorrect wiping, but it is not an STD), or it could be an STD depending on your sexual history. Considering that you are experiencing your period/menstrual cycle, I would advice seeing an OBGYN anyways. You'd rather be safe than sorry.

This is something that needs professional attention as soon as possible. I mean...you can try a tampon, but I'm not a health professional. This could be something serious, or not so serious. See a doctor soon!

well my advice 2 u is try using tampons and if u don't like them try using a different cream.and if that tampons still bug u i think u should see a doctor and get professional help.

i dont think it is anything really bad. just see ur gyno. dont worry. i had it before but now im fine. make sure not to use any kind of soaps down there

You may have a yeast infection, but you should NOT be using someone else's medication. Schedule an appointment with your OBGYN right away.

I would have it checked out, go to your local health department, visits there are usually free and everything is private or go to your family doctor.

well first off if u are sexually active it could be an std but if ur not then it might just be a yeast infection.
