I'm going to buy a computer this weekend and was leaning towards a Sony Vaio. Are Vaio's good laptops? Should I go with something else?

intel should be coming out a new cpu this month. Intel Core 2 Extreme. (1 die - 2 core - 2 cpu on each core). use less enegry (whole new design, from the group up. not like pentium 4 and the netburst crap.)

thats why intel computer like pentium 4 computer the price is droping like crazy. amd did drop there price and there amd 64 x2 cpu.

amd is planning ot make 4*4 (rumors)

i think you should get a computer with Intel Core 2 Duo in it.

for more info on the cpu.
