I get that Ellie-Mae was Jed's daughter but how do Granny and Jethro fit in?

Granny is Jed's late wife's mother. Jethro is Jed's sisters son, his nephew, Ellie-Mae's cousing.

Granny is Jed's mother-in-law and Jethro is the son of Jed's sister Pearl (who has a daughter named Jethryne)

Every single one of you are wrong about the relationship between Jed and Pearl and Jed and Jethro. Pearl and Jed's fathers were brothers so Jed and Pearl were first cousins. Since Jethro is Pearl's son Jethro and Jed are not nephew and uncle but first cousins once removed.
