Talent agents don't charge up front; at least, the licensed ones don't. They make money by taking a percentage of your pay, which is impetus for them to get you gigs.

If an agent is asking for money up front, run away fast.

Please don't tell me you have paid for an agent, you only pay for your headshots, which should not be more then $1000, for the photographer and the prints. and you pay the agent after you have been paid for your job.

if you have talent, your agent shouldn't make any money until you do. they may a cut of what you do. so, as you make more, they make more - ie no money out of your pocket up front.

i was told that most agents are free
if u have to pay for one, then it's not
worth it!
