It probably means that she's not into you, and she's trying to let you down easy, but it could mean that she feels rushed or confused and really wants to think about things. Give her some space and see. After a little distance, she might find that she misses you. In the mean time, don't wait around for her. Keep making other friends and moving forward.

Ok it can mean 2 things
A) She doesn't like u that way and wants 2 b friends.
OR
B) She is trying 2 break up w/ u in a nice way....so she said that in order 2 make the break up less harsh.
I say that 2 both guys that i want 2 b friends w/ and those i don't really care but i'm trying not 2 b an @$$hole.

It can mean many things. She may be scared of starting something and getting hurt or maybe she just doesn't want to be with you period. I guess it all depends on the girl. Ask her how she really feels about you, tell her you won't think any less of her. Maybe you'll find out more then you were being worried about.

I had a guy do this to me. It hurts cuz sometimes they strart to not like you. But if you act like friends maybe shell come back! Sometimes she wants to break up or sometimes she just really needs some time alone. Just try not to think about it and have fun with the rest of your life that is waiting.

It really depends. Sometimes it means she doesn't like you at all and doesn't know how to tell you without hurting your feelings. Sometimes it means she likes you as a friend but decided after trying to date you that she does not have any stronger feelings for you.

Yeah it either means she's not ready or she just didn't want to date you. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. But at least she had the guts to tell it to your face and who knows maybe it will work out later.
