its not sloop john b, it could be the doors, but the song speeds up and slows down and gets to a whisper, the beat is something like this, if you can make it out lol... duh duht duhta- duh duht duht duht duht duhtduhntduhduhntduh then it says either "i wanna go home" loudly, at the end of the duht's it gets louder and says either baby go home or i wanna go home, and somewhere in the song it says you and me and thats all the info i know about the song

I just went through my music collection, which is huge, and I'll be darned if I can find anything. Is it a group that sings it or a solo singer? What type of music is it? That may give a clue as to the time period. Good luck.

It came out of the middle to late Fifties and I believe it was called Lonely Blue Boy. Not positive, but it sounds right. Forgot who the singer was. It was one of my favorite songs. That give you any idea of my age?
