Sadly,that is really all it's about now....
...BUT...I'm going to tell you from experience..You must be flawless..Both musically AND physically...I had men tell me to sing, tell me to turn around, then discuss how 'marketable' I am...It's a harsh business..work on your inner strength first...I did OK,but even when you walk in and nail a song,and look perfect, they make you feel like meat.

Truly the only part of your body that needs to be pretty to be able to sing is or your vocal chords. Looks have nothing to do with singing ability.
