It's up to Congress.
Article I Section 2: The House of Representative shall have the sole power of Impeachment.
Article I Section 3: The Senate shall try all Impeachments.
Article II Section 4: The President cannot be tried for crimes committed acting in his official capacity except by Impeachment.
So, those who agree that willful violation of federal law is grounds for impeachment should elect Representatives who will carry through with that.

Cause the process that is required for impeachment would not allow it. The house has to vote on an impeachment resolution....which will not happen because it is controlled by republicans. Then if for what ever chance the house does approve the impeachment the the Senate has to vote if the impeachment warrants removal from office...also controlled by republicans. Just curious though...but we went through all this less then 10 years ago with Clinton...so are you that young or just were not paying attention at all.

First of all, it's impeach. Then to answer your question... The Republican party controls both the House of Representatives and the Senate. In order to bring articles of impeachment to the floor to vote on them, the Democrats would need to control one of the chambers. Perhaps they will after the elections in 99 days. But they have said they will not start impeachment hearings if they return to power. It's not in the best interest of our country to impeach our commander in chief while we are at war. That does not mean charges will not be brought against him down the road. Oh, and he didn't get oral. He just started a war under false pretenses.

You are so naive. It may surprise you to know that there are plenty of people in this country who simply adore the freaking Bozo, we call our President. So please do not say that "NO ONE" wants him in office. That is simply your own fantasy and not the truth.
Also, you should understand that you simply can not go around impeaching (That's how this word is spelled by the way!) Presidents simply on the notion that "no one likes" him. That's just plain absurd and stupid.
I am terribly sorry that you feel so strongly about this subject. Unfortunately, as I said before, a lot of people feel otherwise. I personally don't care for the idiot myself but the law is the law. This applies to everyone. You, me and the Bozo Bush!

There are impeachment plans in the works. Sometimes timing is vital to the success of an impeachment plan. If Democrats win in November 06, I'm sure impeachment will be in the works. IMHO
See any of the following sites for some information about the impeachment movement.

Who is everyone? I love the guy. I think he is great. As much as you people try to make our country like Iran. Where you can beat your wife and kill your leaders at any time. I am glad that we have a leader who is willing to stand up and do what he knows is right. What would you impeach him for? Bill lies under oath and that's OK. You people are just afraid

impeachment is a long and difficult process. even though much of the public does not favor Bush, the checks and balances system of our government would mean that the legislative branch would have to vote to get rid of him and he would have to do something reeaally bad to get enough legislators to vote him out of office.

In order to impeach a president, there has to be proof that he committed a federal crime, which, unfortunately, Bush hasn't done. He has just committed a whole bunch of immoral acts, but he's done them legally.
