Report the noise to a theater attendant. Noisemaking during the showing of a movie is a violation of most theater's codes of public conduct. Most movie theaters have an on screen announcement for people to cut off their cell phones and remove noisy or crying infants so that others can hear what they paid to hear. That is not being insensitive.

Either go get the manager or an usher to tell them off, but it might not work. I said shut the hell up at a bunch of idiot teenagers (who happened to be white this time; it's usually whites who disturb at my home theaters but I've told off other races too when they get loud) when I went to see Lady in the Water but they didn't hear me (being obnoxiously loud and all) and the usher heard them and gave them a warning...but didn't come back to kick them out when they got worse. It's not insensitive; you paid good money to go see a movie without distraction and deserve it, like the rest of the people coming for the same thing.

actually this happened the other day...the movie had just started and a bunch of mexican kids came with their mom and were laughing and shouting in the corridor coming up to the seats. so EVERYONE could hear them! but we had another bunch of rude ppl and they told them to shut up. so it worked out in the end. lol. they were the good rude kind. that only talk during the previews but not the actual movie.
personally...if they were right next to me, i would eventually get really annoyed and tell them there are other ppl trying to watch this movie. if you wanna talk go outside.
but mostly i'll ignore them and pray they'll eventually shut up.
the worst, is having preteen cheerleaders occuping two rows and all of them making comments. hell. pure hell.

Loud and talking in any culture is loud and talking. Any talking during the movie would get the SHHHHHHHHHHH and if that didn't work call the attendant.

I go to the Theatre Manager and have them removed. I did not go there to have my small investment interupted by thoughtless people.
