I just found my 16 yr old sister's space on myspace, and found out she was talking to and meeting twenty something men. You can monitor them all you want when they are at home, but they can always get on at the library, at a friends house, or at school. If you go to Myspace, you can report her as an underage user, but you'll have to have the link to her site. Be sure to tell them that you are her mother/father. As for Yahoo, you should try to hack in, usually you have to answer a secret question to get the password. If this doesn't work, tell her to give it to you. If she doesn't, LAY DOWN THE LAW! You are alpha, and what you say goes. Period. Good luck with this, the internet is far too dangerous for those too young to understand violence, and predators.

ok, first go the bottom of each page and remove or cancel the account. Then create a new account for your daughter which you check daily to make sure that she doesn't do anything you don't want her to. Plus move the computer to a common room so you can watch her. Good luck keeping the creeps away.

Are you doing it for punishment? If so, just take the computer away. Otherwise you can change email addresses with the email server, then Myspace should have a way to change it as well.

what you want to shut down her e-mail???well you need to know the password....but for myspace i dont know...just supervise whats shes doing if she does something bad tell hre not to go on there anymore if she does it again ground her...problem solved!!...if theres a stalker get her off and talk to him or her..act her age get a place and time...if they want you to go somewhere to meet...then call the police and give them the info...1 less perv in the world...that your job as a parent..to protect your kid!!........saw it on oprah once i think!!

well if she stops visiting the sites with her account ,by 3 or 4 months later the site itself will proably delete it.

why? she is old enought to use yahoo and myspace. and myspace is perfectly safe as long as her profile is set to private. let her use it but just monitor her.
