Why do men always want a wife and a mistress?

Question

Besides for SEX, can anyone tell me why men want a wife and mistress? Why men would risk everything for an affair? Are they that unhappy i their marriage? Or do they really believe they won't get caught?

Extra Info -- the married couple has only been married for less than 2 years and have NO children.............

i think because some wives tend to neglect their husbands needs specially when theres children already. or maybe its just an excuse male in the animal kingdom are always polygamous he he

I personally think its because they get bored with the same woman all the time. Men are jerks that do that in my book. Worthless SOB'S... and the mistress - if she had any brains, she wouldn't try to break up a home, especially someone who has children. I realize some guys don't tell women they are married, cause they know that some girls won't put out if thats the case. If men want a mistress or to just plain run around, they shouldn't get married in the first place.

Men would like to have a wife and a mistress for the reasons of sexual pleasures. By having the mistress perform acts of which he would not have his wife perform, thus keeping her somewhat pure (in his mind). Also, challenges in communication with the opposite sex out side of the marriage (player status) or just the shere excitement of can I do this and not get caught, if so, how long can I do this with out alerting the spouse. The game is played both ways. Women also cheat. So, if you're not the cheating kind, don't put up with it, keep your mind free and clear of your intentions within your marriage. So you will always know in your heart and mind, that you has never even looked at the opposite sex in any kind of lustful manner or spoken in silent to yourself about the beauty of another man's body standing before you or at a distance.

I think the wife is stable and home life ! And the mistress is sex and fun but no commitment ! The mistress is the one who loses ! The wife wins she gets the money ,house ect.while the mistress just gets sex .Whoopie ! she can get tht anywhere.So stay in the relationship and drain it as a wife ! I don't know because I don't think that I'm that kind of guys .. but as I hear from other stories.. must women, after getting children, they don't feel like having sex because they are usually tired from raising and feeding and cleaning the children the whole day ... that can make a man to look for that outside

i think that men feel that there are some thing missing in their lives
they always feel that they deserve better than what they have
but the real case is that they _and i am a male_ refuse to have responsibilities
in an affair all what a man cares for is how to get the more fun he can
without caring for kids,home or any thing else

I think it is a generalisation to say men ALWAYS want this.

I think it comes down to an unsatisfying marriage. If he is getting all his emotional and physical needs met by a wife that he RESPECTS, a good husband will not stray.
