It depends, Fuel injected or Carb? Are you on the throttle of off,
You will more than likely be on the throttle alot just to flaunt the power of your new small block in your Jeep, So I would have to say you will be getting about the same fuel mileage.

Thier is alot more to it than just tire size and motor. Gear ratio and wieght. Can not think of his web site but snowman on fourwheeler.com in the forum knows alot. His signature has a link to his site. I would guess at 8 but depends on where and how you drive. I could squeze 13 out of my 73 chevy 350 / 3 on the tree/ 205 / 44-12 with 3.08 on 33's. learn the formulas and calculate your tires or gears. For the best mileage you want to run in the 2000-2200 rpm range at your regular cruising speed. Lower rpms do not always mean better mpg because of lugging the motor. Randys ring and pinion has alot for you to read about this also. ringpinion.com

You are putting an 8 cylinder in to replace a 6 cyl that only got 10 MPG and you are worried about what the 8 cyl will get?

my guesstimate as to the EPA ratings of your rig, also factoring in how most people tend to drive that kind of rig:

automatic: 7City/9HWY
manual: 11City/14HWY

as it ages:

50,000 MI: lose oneMPG off both
100,000 MI: lose up to 33%
>150,000 MI: no tellin' if ittl even be running then, best estimate is: shitty

why are you replacing the inline 6 anyways, blown up?

Probably about the same, unless you got mods on the motor.

You COULD get more than that, but it depends on YOU and your foot.
