Haha. I'm sorry, but anyone who was 10-20 years old when Mr. Ice got big is a LI-AR if you say you never bobbed your head to that... "Ice, Ice Baby... too cold, too cold..." LOL He's sure not the best, but I don't think he's the worst. Does anyone remember New Kids on the Block? They did some "rap" that makes Vanilla Ice looks like a sick lyricist.

But honestly, there is a lotta really lousy sh!t on the radio these days... repeated beats that don't even sound good, people yelling random sh!t. "MIKE JONES! MIKE JONES!" Anyone with me on that? We know who you are, now shut up and make some music (if you can).

I think the rap genre as a whole has taken a serious nosedive in talent since about 2000, give or take a year. That's not to say there aren't still good people out there, but they're mixed in with a lotta riff-raff. And I gotta say this, "Laffy Taffy" is one of the worst songs I have EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. It makes me wanna pull my hair out it's SO AWFUL... but people like this crap???

But I think the bottom line is, most people just don't write about anything anymore. They don't write about life, or reality. They just write about partying and rims and tims and b!tches and whatever other stupid nonsense. Use your talent and your position to SAY SOMETHING. Sure, party songs are alright. But that shouldn't be all a person writes about. There's a lot more to life than partying. I would think people coming from a poor position in life would understand that. I know I do.

BTW, whoever said Eminem is the worst rapper ever must need their ears checked. He has some of the slickest flow and most clever lyrics to come out in the past 20 years. The only one who can touch and exceed him is Tupac IMO. There are other people I like, but you must be crazy sayin that nonsense...

I think it's hard to rate singers because there are so many different styles, and a lotta people just think everyone who doesn't sing their favorite style sucks. But I think it's all about diversifying. One thing I will say though... Miss Paris Hilton can shove that "Stars Are Blind" stuff. *rolls eyes* Sing about something real, Miss Hilton. Oh yeah, I forgot... you wouldn't know anything about that....

At least Vanilla Ice had more content to his songs than just a couple of lines repeated with a catchy beat behind it...
Listen to crap today. Just looking at the lyrics or the song itself, you can tell who really puts effort into their songs and who just makes a few catchy lines to make more money.
