Absolutely!
Just because they say "Olympics in Chicago" doesn't mean all the venues have to be IN the city. Every time the Olympics are held, there are events that take place in all different sites in the area. With that said.... Chicago has an amazing capacity to be able to hold the Olympics!
I think it could be done and would be awesome!

And being in the central US would mean great attendance, too. It's so easy to get in and out of the area: flights, trains, etc from outside.

I think its very possible for Chicago to get the Olympics. Ive been to Chicago and have to say it is so beautiful there. If it wasnt for the bad weather during the winter, I would live there.
I know we have so many resources here in the states bu I just wonder how the rest of the world feels when we get the Olympics every 20 years. Could you imagine all the other a country who tries every 4 years. Didnt London beat out Paris.

of course i could. we already have alot to offer as far as venues, transportation, and housing. that's why we could pull it off in enough time. 2016 would be 20 yrs since the last USA olympics so it would be about time for it to come back to the USA and what better city than chicago. i think we had a better chance than NYC did when they bidded because we're not as congested, but still have the things that are needed to host the world!it would mean a lot to the city by way of improvements that we could all enjoy for decades to come & great for the local ecomomy. more importantly it would mean the world to me because i LUV the olympics and it would mean that i would be able to afford to attend!!! unlike if they're somewhere else because then u have to factor in travel & lodging expenses. GO CHICAGO!!!

It would depend on if Chicago could host the capacity of ppl for the Olympics. I don't think Chicago has enough venues, I think if you go to the olympics website they tell you where future Olympics are planing to be held.

Yes. Hopefully Chicago would finally get all the road improvements they've been working on done, once and for all. They'd have to dump a bunch of money to upgrade public transportation too, so that would be a nice side benefit for us too. Oh yeah, and the sporting events would be great, too.

Not really, I think San Francisco will be the next city. It is more bigger in there than in here.
