The guy's a jerk. I've never seen him not be a jerk. Black, white, or green -- the guy's a jerk. I don't get this sympathy for barry game.

From everything I've read Bonds is a massive jerk. He is also one of the best five players ever.

So what if Barry Bonds doesn't want to deal with the press? So what? That is so common to think with the group. I don't think like the group. Barry Bonds isn't friendly with the press. That does not make Barry Bonds a jerk. That just means he isn't interested in being in the press's eyes all the time. The reason so many writers think of Bonds as misunderstood is because he is. Most people would assume he is a jerk because he does not do well as far as the press is concerned. To be perfectly honest, if a person does not want to talk to the press, that is his or her perogative. It doesn't make him or her a jerk. Bonds obvioulsly isn't interested in being in the public's eye all of the time. H e likes to keep his private life private. his privacy is his business. As long as he is not hurting anyone why should everyone be criticizing him? This is my take on the situation: If anyone thinks Bonds is a jerk honestly doesn't understand anything about individualism. Not wanting to talk to reporters in my opinion is a sign of having the courage to not want to be in the public's eyes. Some people call him a jerk to mask the fact hidden racism and they use his "alleged" bad points to criticize him. Some cases it is speaking your mind, or the the refusal to be what the public wants you to be that causes problems.

You know what? I'm so sick of this Bonds thing seriosly. I believe all of baseball is tainted.. I mean think about it? How many pitchers do you think bonds has faced that took steroids? You know damn well pitchers take steroids too. I think he is the scape goat for all this Steroids problems. Other people are getting caught and forgotten about while Bonds on the other hand is constantly being talked about. I think he should get in trouble for lying to the grand jury but leave him the hell alone. You guys left Jason Giambi alone after he admitted that he used illegal substances during his MVP season.

The general statements that people make sometimes are amazing. Give us some examples of writers that think he is misunderstood. Most writers think he is a cheater (on steroids) however the main point that he is not the only one dirty and should not be treated as such.
