I've known some fairly open-minded people in my life, from the more Liberal to the Moderate but I can honestly say I've never known anyone who's personally claimed they are socialist.

How would I feel about you being a socialist? That would depend on how you define your concept of socialism.

It dissapoints me and scares me. Socialism is a result of cynacism of human nature, a lack of understanding economics and history, and envy for what your neigbbor has. I imagine myself living in a place like France or Russia, never being able to start my own buisiness, always being afraid of being fined or regulated by the government, and having little economic growth whatsoever. People in socialist countries rarely cross class barriers but in the United States my whole family is a testament to the American Capitalist dream. To live under repression and economic tyranny like that is my worst nightmare. I want work, not welfare. The more people the think like you the more that voters will vote to create this economic tyranny.

A socialist is just a a very liberal person. It doesn't make me feel anything. Why would it?

i don't have feeling....it is a broad question of whats right or wrong... in this case USA, if you are in the USA, is gradually going the way of third world countries of the rich and the poor, the congress is steadily eroding the estate tax for inheritors to earn money that was not earn in their working life.... there are lots of Paris Hilton's, Rockefeller's and others...soon the extreme wealth will own vast estates as the dukes, barons of old Europe and this will be in the USA....Mexico is a good example of 1% of the population owning everything....they encourage illegal immigration to the USA.. to bleed of excessive population to keep the poor from starting a revolution...they have no social security or medical as the USA..along with Social Security, the estate taxes is dubbed a socialist experiment to return the wealth back wherein others have the chance to gain wealth...."please vote"...if there is a feeling requested in this question. i have to say you and i are kindred and i feel for you to have an equal start.in this life...warren buffet donated his billions to Charity as he believes in this, as i... the constitution of the USA forbids in consternation of wealth and President FDR brought socialism back as least temporally

I feel that you're on the right track but you're just a few steps short of the most perfect system: COMMUNISM.

If you believe in socialism i'd suggest going just one step further starting with this (http://www.marxists.org/).

Yours in Marx,

Pretty much the same I feel for far-left Democrats. Tax-and-spend liberals seem to run by the same ideals.

Fine. If you live in the USA, you have the freedom of that choice. I suggest you keep it to yourself though, others may take offense and try to do something about it.

Sorry Kevin...the best I can muster is a very vague and nebulous indifference.
