They were pretty good back in the early-90's... back in the Jim Kelly/Andre Reed/Thurman Thomas days.
In the 11 years he was there, Kelly led them to 17 playoff game appearances, including four consecutive Super Bowls (91-94), where he passed for 3,863 yards and 21 touchdowns. But... truth be told... they choked every time. They lost all 4 times they went to the Super Bowl.
So yeah... maybe one of the worst teams of all time.

The Bills aren't close to being one of the worst of all time. They did win an AFL championship in the '60s plus four straight AFC titles to reach the Super Bowl. Even if the Super Bowls were losses, you don't see too many teams making it to the big game that many years in a row. That's a great achievement. The Bills may have had their ups and downs, but at least they're not the New Orleans Saints, which has only one playoff win to their credit since beginning play in 1967.

Ummm...no, just NO. The ignorance in here is appalling. We were AFL champions in 1963 and1964. We had something like the third best record in the '90s. We're defininitely middle of the pack material. Certainly better, overall, than the Jets, Saints, Lions, Buccanneers, Browns, Vikings, Raiders, Chargers, Cardinals, Bengals, Eagles, and Oilers. In modern history, we most certainly are the 5th worst team in the NFL, tied with the Browns

Not of all time, But right now yes. Remember, they were in all those Superbowls against the Cowboys. You don't go to the Superbowl with the worst team of all time, even though they did choke everytime they got there.

I sure wouldn't say that. In the 80s they were a powerhouse. Right now they are the 8th worst team out of 32.

maybe the worst team now, but what about the nineties where they were in 4 super bowls they didnt win but there have only been 40 super bowls with numerous dynasties so a lot of teams have never even seen play off games let alone super bowls

No, because when you consider that Buffalo has at least been to the superbowl 4 times (granted they lost) but consider that Atlanta has only been once... there are other teams that suck worse.. trust me.

if you don't like them fine...no need to spread your hate..you must be a DOLPHINS fan...in the words of the caveman..DO A LITTLE RESEARCH...btw just say no...it still applies...no they arent the worst of all times but during the late 80's and early 90's they WERE the winningest during a 10 year span...their lifetime record is better than many franchises..there are still 7 franchises that have NEVER gone to the superbowl...nobody ridicules the VIKINGS who also LOST 4 bowls..stop the personal hate...
superjunkie...just say no....
