I know there are still people who like kobe but there are a lot of complaints about him such as, he's not a team player,he's a ball hog, and on top of that, lets add a rape accusation

Everybody recognizes that he is a great player, and everybody also recognizes that he is immature. Would he be an even better player if he didn't have so many "issues"? No one knows.

Kobe is a great player... not anyone could score 81 in a single game. His ball hogging has gotten better. They almost beat the Suns when he distributed the ball well. He's definitely got an ego but so does most of the NBA. The rape accusation is the biggest stain on Kobe's career. Prior to that he had a clean image and nearly everyone liked him. Now with that rape accusation things have changed.
Kobe will always be a good player. However its not his ego that overshadows his skill, its the rape accusation.

i think that Kobe is a really great player. the problem with the ball hog thing is that if he doesn't pass his team loses. if he decides to pass and the team loses they say that he was scared or something. i also think that he is overrated. people compare him to MJ. the league has changed a lot since MJ retired and its a lot more easy to score now. the league made it so that there is less defense so scoring should not be such a big thing. Kobe has a lot of pressure because he is compared to MJ and he basically has to compete with MJ. he is in a lose lose situation.

There is a big difference between a talented player and a good player.
I would think Kobe is the most talented player in the league. But his ego, arrogance and selfishness prevents him from being a good or great player. He never tries to make his teammates better, and is obviously more interested in scoring more points and getting more credit than winning, or else he would still be winning titles with Shaq.

Yes, but I think that most NBA players' ego's overshadow their talent. This actually overshadows anything specifically related to Kobe.
